1. Where are you originally from?
I am from Columbia, South Carolina. I grew up there and stayed through college.
2. When did you move to Myrtle Beach?
I moved in June of 2008 and became
engaged to my husband Preston that July!
3. How long have you been a member of Finish Strong?
I joined in September of 2014, Ashley Smith invited me to try it! I really didn't want to do push ups or any type of Army drills for exercise but I came anyways.
4. What made you decide to join FS?
There was a really nice trainer (Molly) and I was terribly out of shape so I knew I needed it! Plus, it was all women (no men doing a thousand push ups beside me when I could only do two!) and that was really encouraging.
5. Where did you go on vacation this summer?
This past summer I had a baby boy in July so we stayed right here in Myrtle Beach! I love to travel and this year we are going on several small trips.
6. Do you have any pets?
I have one dog, Berwick. He is a cavalier King Charles Spaniel. My first baby!
7. What is your favorite quote?
The only time you should look back is to see how far you've come.
8. What's your idea of a fun night out?
I love getting together with a group of people or just my husband and I and sitting outside in the spring or fall. Sipping a G&T or a good glass of red wine and a few appetizers.
9. What's a favorite workout/challenge/event that you've done at FS?
That's a tough question! I love the workouts because they are all different and I don't want to know what painful exercise is coming next...lol! I just completed my first Finish Strong Challenge - the 2017 Transformation. It was so incredible to see everyone working so hard to reach their goals. That warms my heart.
10. What's your favorite song to workout to?
I love indie rock and I do love a good British indie rock band. You don't hear this at the studio much but I love Coldplay - A Sky Full of Stars is a household favorite for an at home workout or impromptu kids dance party!
11. Where's your favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach?
We like to support the locals. My go to (even for dinner) is Bay Naturals - friendly staff and they tolerate my children!

12. What do you like most about Finish Strong?
The women - it has grown so much in the past 6 months! I see so many new faces and I love seeing women getting out of their comfort zone! That is something I have struggled with personally so I like to help encourage others.
13. If you had to which would you choose.. 50 burpees or 100 warrior sit ups?
I would choose warrior sit-ups because I want to work on my core.
14. How do you relax after a long day?
Relax? What's that???? Just kidding...I have a hard time unwinding but I love drinking LaCroix in a wine glass (yes - mind over matter) eating dinner with my husband (preferably at the same time) and taking a warm shower before bed - I sleep so much better when I shower before bed. Sleep is so important!
15. Have any hobbies?
I love to read books - a 2017 goal is to read more books & I have a long list! My current read is by Eckart Tolle - A New Earth: Awakening to your Life's Purpose.
